CALL FOR PAPERS
Dear Sir,
The department of Arabic of University College, Thiruvananthapuram proposes to organise a 2 Day National Seminar on 20-21 December 2016, at the seminar hall of University College on the broad area of African Literature in Arabic.
The suggested thematic areas are:
- Arabic Literature in Egypt
- Arabic Literature in Maghrib Countries: Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco
- Arabic Literature in the Eastern half of Africa
- Experinces of Sudan, Nigeria & North-Western Africa
- Arabic Literature in Other African countries
- Francophone Influence in Maghrib Literature
- Literary Criticism in Egypt & Maghrib
- Contemporary Trends in Maghrib Literature
- Women Literature in Egypt & Maghrib
- Manuscripts, Oral Tradition & Folklore Literature
- Reformative Movements & Islamic Literature in Africa
- Evolution of Arabic Language in Africa
- Relationship between Arabic other regional languages
Those who are interested to present papers related to the thematic areas are requested to send the abstract of their papers in one page by email on or before 30 November 2016. Papers are to be precise and conforming to the thrust area noted. All submissions must be original and proper acknowledgement of sources borrowed should be made. Selected papers should be presented in Seminar using PowerPoint facility.
